In Storage

We helped friends today with transferring some heavy pieces of furniture into storage as they were moving into temporary accommodation.  They are moving to Much Wedlock, but their property isn't ready neccesitating storage of their furniture for a few weeks.  Their buyers' original low interest mortgage offer was due to expire and with the increase in mortgage interest rates last September they would have had to withdraw from the sale had the exchange not gone ahead this week.

Moving furniture is always tricky, made more so by the narrowness of doors and lack of firm holds on some items.  One of the biggest challenges was a memory foam king size mattress, which was incredibly heavy and difficult to manoeuvre.  Thankfully everything is now in the storage, along with a significant number of boxes, all labelled to know the contents.  K is a lifelong Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry fan and so her precious vinyls are there carefully boxed (though I thought they might have been on the top of the pile!).
