Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Salwa and Hazel came for lunch today, though Chrissy and Abi had to pike out (Covid grandson and injured dog respectively). Actually, it was a lot easier with just four people. And plenty left over for tomorrow!

We’re big fans of Jamie Oliver. I don’t think there has ever been one of his programmes where I haven’t declared ‘I’m going to make that!’ (Though this has yet to happen.) JR made Jamie’s vege filo snake - Moroccan style filling. With two sauces and two salads. It was delicious. It’s actually flipped over before serving, so this was the bottom.

Heavy rain in the evening. JR pulled the short straw and took Archie out for an evening walk after the visitors had gone while I tidied up.

Pip update: Vet visit, more painkillers, slowly getting better. Very nervous about being out and about, not surprisingly.
