The Cleanup
Now noone can say that I'm against real street art. I've even blipped it a couple of times. One thing that I really dislike is taggers, however, who seem so proud that they've finally managed to write their own name (although legibility generally still remains an issue), that they have to write it wherever they can.
These two gentlemen had to get up onto a roof with a stepladder to remove such an idiot's tag this morning. On the roof of the community centre/swimming pool, no less. The tagger probably uses the facilities every day. What a goon.
Anyway, thankfully there are some real artists around, and I'd like to think that this puts some of the name-writers off with feelings of inadequacy (yeah, I can hope).
Not the best photo, but blipworthy nonetheless.
Gina's dad and granddad were here for the day on a stop over from Auckland to Broome (where they're involved in a beach polo tournament, of all things). Had a lovely dinner with them. I tried to get some shots of 4 generations (Miles through to his great-grandad), but The Little Goblin wasn't playing ball.
