Nine Chimneys

There may have been more chimneys but they didn't make the cut. I will maybe keep those in mind for future Mono Monday anniversary occasions. I had to trespass a bit to get this shot by the way.

In view of the weather forecasts (sunny today, heavy rain tomorrow) we decided to pay a visit to Batsford Arboretum. We renewed our memberships. On the way we stopped off at Seasalt in Bourton for mrsfb to try some more wellies. She liked them but decided they were not comfortable enough for a long walk. She did get a new top in the sale so at least has something now for her birthday tomorrow. On the way back she tried some Joules wellies on in a garden centre, but they were either too tight or too loose, and quite expensive anyway.

There wasn't much colour about at Batsford, though there are a lot of daffodils about to come through. We've resolved to visit more often now to see how it changes through the year. We did come across an occasional colourful elf. There were a few strange names, probably the strangest was captured in the extra.

Tomorrow the plan is to go to Gloucester Quays outlet shops in search of something more for mrsfb. We will no doubt have a nice lunch somewhere at least.

I'm a bit behind on blip again, will aim to have a catch up session later this week.

We're not doing the 5:2 diet at the moment as it didn't seem to be working so well last year. We're not sure at the moment what to replace it with.
