Mayson’s Visit
Our big news is that late on Thursday we received an offer on our house, which we accepted, as it was right at the asking price.
We picked up Mayson, our oldest grandson, from school on Friday to finally get his turn for an overnight stay at the condo. He got to play a game of pool with his grandad and later on an evening stroll around the downtown area to to take in the night life.
The next day he enjoyed waking up to the city view from the bedroom windows. We woke up early to walk down to the beach together to watch the sun rise. It didn’t turn out to be as clear a view as I expected but it was a nice walk anyway. Then we went to BG for a drink on the way home.
Later on we had brunch with David at The Little Red Wasp
which was very delicious. Their meat is from a local organic farm.
We explored downtown Fort Worth, walking and using the free downtown transport called, “Molly the Trolley”. Mayson got to experience the Fort Worth Water Gardens for the first time.
We hopped off the Trolley at one point because he spotted a Steinway and Sons piano shop. He had the pleasure of playing all the pianos and had a great time.
A very full and satisfying day was had, despite all the background hassles of the house sale going on. Thank goodness for a husband who can take all that in his stride!
