Nab Scar on the left and the cloud topped fells leading to Fairfield.


It was dark and wet until late morning. When I saw it brightening I set off on my usual circuit from home with a short extra paddle along the Under Loughrigg road. Saw a heron on the football pitch. Then another near the River Rothay. Or perhaps it was the same one that had moved. Going through the park I happened to turn around and saw a third flying high above the river. Or it may have been the first or second one. I took photos of all but they were too far away to be good enough when cropped to add as an extra.
