Criminal

The day started with the chimney sweep arriving unexpectedly but a good job done. 
We went for a walk on a new track not far from the one we did yesterday so it's a similar view. However this track was through a conifer plantation and you can see the damage to the peat in the foreground. This is an industry I really dislike because of it's environmental destruction. Behind me as far as I can see is more Sitka spruce with a few broadleaves around the edges as their pathetic biodiversity addition. This to me is criminal habitat destruction, the ground has been raped and in some parts abandoned where the trees did not grown enough to be worth felling. There must be another way!
