Infrared Torch Test

I bought an infrared torch to use with a full spectrum camera so wanted to test it's effect at night.

I'll admit to only being out for a few minutes as it was beginning to rain.  It's quite impressive to see the amount of illumination you can achieve.  All I could see was a slight red glow from the torch when looking into it.  I saw absolutely no evidence of where I was pointing the torch so had to guess how much I needed.

Now to find a practical use for it.
