Almost Portobello Beach Day 257

Homeward bound. This blip was taken through the window of the East Coast 1500 hrs HST 125 train from London King's Cross to Edinburgh. The train only stopped at York, Darlington, Newcastle and Berwick. It arrived in Waverley three minutes early at 1919 hrs. The carriage I was in was never very busy and by the time we reached Torness Nuclear Power Station it was virtually deserted. I had tried to capture the sign marking the border between England and Scotland but even this 40 year old diesel train set has the ability to accelerate faster than my camera can blip. I was very pleased to trade the hurly burly of London for the calm and order of Edinburgh this evening. I was less happy, however, to experience the substantially lower temperature here this evening.
