Coat of Many Colours

Paddling furiously across the pond for a few handfuls of grain (no flies on me!) the small mandarin duck colony must have been quite peckish - no pun intended. 

The food also encouraged a grey wagtail, numerous mallards, a handful of robins, chaffinches, 3 largish white ducks and some coal tits. No sign of my kingfisher unfortunately today. Not as many people about thankfully to scare them off.

The kids have arrived back and little baby B has grown and developed dramatically in just a week. He is positively motoring after the dogs who in turn seemed to tentatively welcome him back ... very tentatively. He will keep them on their toes for next couple of weeks as he will all of us I feel.
