Shane....

Today Shane is a dishwasher in the kitchen at Pinecroft... he is the sweetest young man .... some days he's cutting and stacking wood outside the pottery studio - and we usually get to chatting about all sorts of things... I really enjoy talking with him, finding out what young folks like him think about - so today he donned a very colourful apron and washed dishes!
He also scared the shit out of me - he wandered over to the studio - i was totally engrossed in making pots, listening to CBC and didn't see his approach! all of a sudden there was this very large shape in the open doorway - he must be 6' 5" - i'm guessing - anyway, he was so quiet - i guess he didn't want to disturb me - well, he certainly disturbed me - i screamed like a bloody banshee - it was pretty funny, and he felt terrible!
