Into the Light …

… from the morning shadows (first extra) on the way towards the Grand St. Bernard Col in the distance but at this point we turned left to head up to the West Barasson Col. Here there is a stunning view of the Mont Blanc Range, including the Grandes Jorasses, that impressive granite triangle on the right of the second extra photo. At 2634m, the col is located on the border ridge between Switzerland and Italy, SE of the Grand-Saint-Bernard pass and with a bit of effort, easily accessible on touring skis. The ski down was much better than expected. I shall sleep well tonight!

Huge thanks to everyone who liked yesterday’s distant bouquetin blip.
