A Fallen World : A Lifebuoy Less, Aylesford

I learnt a bit more about the scrubland that has become my project. As I was walking through it with my brother we met three people walking their dogs. They said it used to be an old ballast pit so that would explain why the ground has such big dips in it. They said when they were young they used to swim in the pools of water but you certainly couldn't do that now.
There are signs around the edge of the pits warning of deep water but the lifebuoy stand has been empty for as long as I can remember.
With the extra I decided rather than ignore my own shadow that sometimes fell on the trees I was shooting I would make use if it, so I took the filter off the front of my camera and held it up to the light as I thought that might create a stronger image.
