Blackwater Estuary

The flight from Edinburgh to London City was all fine. I couldn’t make out where we were in this shot but we’re heading south ish over eastern Essex and the swatchways with the Blackwater estuary in the distance before banking westwards to follow the Thames estuary up to City airport with its slightly alarming landing in docklands.

Then onto Florence where it was 17c on landing. The house ingested fit two weeks was 11c which is not really a winter temperature.

On getting back I noticed the overbearing Douglas Fir block that neighbours us has been cleared back and thinned and will let more light and sun into our more westerly vegetable beds.
