It wasn't so quiet and relaxed for long -- as can be seen from the other shots.  I thought its head was going to come off be the end.

How many pens does one household need?
Loads apparently.
I found 2 boxes with pens in them. It took me ages to go through them and throw out the ones that didn't work. Some of the better ones I will get new ink cartridges for. The fountain pens are all staying (I like using fountain pens ... I just don't get the same opportunities to use them that I used to). There are even a handful of pens I have made - not great quality ones (they all went as gifts) but they are certainly not getting thrown out.
