Funny sort of day

Woke up to sleet and worries about tender plants. Road works outside the house; road closed. Three sets of temporary traffic lights in the 3.5 miles between the house and my lunch. All red. Both there and coming back. Brilliant sunshine between the showers. Stunning rice pudding for tea. Glorious evening rainbow.
