A tale of two hounds

Climbing down from the attic yesterday I twisted my knee and so I'm staying local for today's walks with the spaniel. This morning we walked over the fields to the outskirts of Henley returning via Crowsley Park. The latter used to be owned by Henry Baskerville. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a friend of the family. Can you can see where this is leading?  On top of the gateposts at the entrance to the grounds are two statues of 'hell hounds'. Although it was set on Dartmoor, the 'Hound of the Baskervilles' seems to have had its origins in Oxfordshire. Unfortunately these particular hounds aren't very photogenic, certainly not for a blip anniversary. So instead here's the spaniel, about as far removed from a 'hell hound' as its possible to get.
