"Betty and Jack"

Mum had a bad start to the day, her breathing wasn't too good at all. After a while on her nebuliser she felt a bit better. GP came and confirmed mum has a chest infection and prescribed steroids, she should feel brighter in a couple of days. Dad got drenched whilst out on his walk, but today he felt brighter too.

They have shared their life together for almost 70 years, married for almost 62 of them. Mum loves him very much even though some days she doesn't know who he is. He takes her hand and she looks at him and smiles. Dad often talks about things they'll do when mum is "better"

Mum has Lewy Body Dementia so her condition can fluctuate throughout the day. Mum wont get any better. Mum sleeps for much of the time but she is warm, has someone with her 24 hours a day but most importantly she's with my dad and well cared for by us three sisters.

This is a much better option than a nursing home I'm sure. We love her very much and nursing her is a pleasure. :-)
