AT LAST…

…the secret’s out. Well some of it!!!
#We packed the car with the picnic hamper….except bar a few snacks it didn’t have a picnic inside!!! Instead were our clothes and toiletries for an overnight stay….my belated birthday present for The Rev.
We dropped Daisy off at Mums with minimal stuff so The Rev didn’t know we weren’t coming home. Without setting the SatNav we drove to Mystery No1…I gave him a slip (shown on previous blip) that said a country walk. We had a 3km stroll around Hatchlands Parkland.
#A shepherd was struggling to drive her sheep through a fence so we helped out. Quite exciting!! There were sooo many.
#we started with a cuppa in the old kitchen…unfortunately the house was still closed. How the other half live.
#Then as we set off for our picnic I gave him another slip…a pub lunch.
Dry January didn’t last long :))) we had a fantastic meal with excellent service.
He said “do we have to go home, can’t we book somewhere to stay?” So I gave him the next slip…an overnight stay at the pub. . Lovely rooms!

A stroll around the village, an afternoon snooze and an evening tipple and another short stroll…perfect end to part 1!!!!!
