Despite a rollicking evening at Christine’s - and I won’t say how many bottles of bubbly were consumed - JR was up and out to the gym as usual at 8.30!
I took it rather more slowly, but was organised by the time she and Chrissy came back for a coffee. I also had a phone call from a doctor about my recent blood tests. There was nothing drastic in them, but there are a couple more she’d like to do. It’s nice when they take an interest.
I then went to the gym, surprising myself again. Two lots of 20 minutes on the cross trainer and the low bike, and some leg strengthening stuff. One of the gym assistants has taken a bit of an interest in me, being a new face. He spoke to me the other day, and came to see how I was getting on today again. He doesn’t want me doing the leg stuff every day though.
We’ve got the Italy holiday organised! TWO operas in Verona - Aida and Rigoletto. JR and I have been there years ago (Hazel has never been) and it’s a wonderfully memorable event. This time we’ll be in the posher proper seats nearer the stage - we were away up on the stone steps last time, miles from the stage, so we’re doing it in a bit more comfort.
Archie just LOVES his bed.
