Belisha Beacon

Something we have been used to for many years, but this one seems to be on steroids, with a pole including LED lights and additional halo lights around the globe.

In researching how to spell its name, it transpires that it was named after a Leslie Hore-Belisha, Minister for Transport who in 1934 brought in beacons to highlight the position of road crossings.

It was my first day back at work this year.
