Peter’s clock tower

We joined 10 other keen walkers for an easy walk into and around Lymstone from Exmouth. Those who wore wellies were wise as there was lots of mud and puddles.
This clock tower overlooks the river Exe and was built as a memorial to a much loved wife in 1885. It is now owned by the Landmark Trust and is used as a holiday rental. It has bunk beds and an iron spiral stair case and getting up in the night is not an easy experience.
It was ideal weather for a walk, dry with no wind and we walked some new paths which is always a pleasure. Even the sun peeped out.
Later, we found out a neighbour had been taken to hospital in the night. His wife hopes he will be home tomorrow which is good. They both have a virus so she wasn’t able to visit him today.
The magazines I am going to deliver arrived today so I picked them up this afternoon and I have stuffed them all in their envelopes. A busy day, I will sleep well tonight.
