Snipe
There’s a certain majesty in death.
Sad and horrifying but a part of life.
On my daily walks around Bellingham (in all weathers, I hasten to add) I have been delighted with the abundance of wildlife to be seen, in particular Snipe.
When sprung, they take off at high speed in a zig zag fashion.
I found this poor individual against a dry stone wall next to a footpath.
There is no evidence as to the cause of its demise, perhaps it would take a Sherlock Holmes to deduce the in-deduceable, if that is even a word.
