Fading colours of spring
I took the camera with me when I went into the garden to refill the empty sunflower seed bird feeders. Having filled them I spotted that the pot plants in the cabin were very thirsty, not having benefited from the recent torrents of rain.
On the other hand this tulip has been out in the rain and strong winds of recent times and is beginning to look the worse for wear. I have been admiring its unusually shaped petals and their very subtle colours. So I brought it into the shelter of the cabin, still in its tall pot and waited a for a glimpse of sunshine, that very fleetingly peeked through the dark rainclouds. I shall return the pot to the garden tomorrow and hope that there is better weather to get me gardening again. I have been very lazy for far too long.
