We made it
Backblip 1/11.
What a harrowing drive it was to Michigan for the holidays. After we got out of the mountain region of Maryland and western Pennsylvania, the temperature hovered between -2 to 1F (-18 to -17C) with high winds. The roads were icy, there was blowing snow, and it was overall awful outside. When we stopped in Ohio to get gas, the wind chill was -30 F (-34 C). I put the nozzle in the car and got back in to stay warm.
The Ohio Turnpike was closed near Sandusky, so we had to exit and drive on smaller roads until we got to Toledo. The interstate was a bit more clear in Michigan. We finally got to Jill's parents' place about nine hours later. It's normally around a six-hour drive.
Here's Riddle hanging out in a bed. Tomorrow I hope to fly to my mom's place in Oregon to celebrate the holidays with her.
