The view through the companionway

Back in Bradwell after a windy beat back from Brightlingsea.
Wind has been rather too much of a problem during this trip. Thursday was too rough to even get on the boat from the tender so we spent the night in the club bungalow (beach hut with beds).
Friday we motored to Bradwell in a force 6.
Saturday was a downwind run under genoa to Brightlingsea which showed us just how good Saffron is, surfing off the tops of waves at 7 knots.
Today's beat back under 75% of the genny was a revelation and studying the track on the iPad app later showed we were tacking through 90 degrees even with just a head sail.
Forecast for Monday is even more wind.........
