Glorious morning!
It was too beautiful outside not to go for a morning walk. There was an icy feel to the air and still ice on the roads and pavements where the sun had not reached to melt it, but it was a wonderful walk. Such an improvement on recent grey damp days where it hasn't seemed to get light all day. January can be such a dull month so every bit of sunshine helps.
Rather than waiting for this month to pass I'm trying to be more positive and use it. I have lots of ideas of what I would like to attempt this year, one of which is to maybe try a bit of painting or drawing or maybe both. Any suggestions of a good place online, or a good book to get started would be appreciated from you artistic people out there. At 70 I'm not expecting miracles, just a little dabble into some creativity!
Mum gave me some money for Christmas so I'm thinking of going to a good hairdresser and getting some highlights or something done to my hair as a little booster. I was thinking 'pink' but not sure I can carry that off, but who knows....you only live once!
Wednesday I'm out to Langdon Beck for lunch with the matting group. We felt that a post Christmas outing would be very acceptable! I'm looking forward to it very much, it will be filled with fun and laughter with a bunch of lovely ladies.
Hope everyone is having a happy week.
