Okay, confession time first; I did not take this photograph today. I took it a couple of weeks ago and decided I liked it so much I would keep it until an appropriate On This Day In History arrived. I believe this is such a day. Please remember, East - West relationships are rarely so tragic as Pinkerton and Chio Chio-san's; they can be wonderful.
