Katie’s orchid

When Katie and Andrew were moving house a few years ago, Katie gave me her orchid to look after. It had two tiny leaves….and was in a two inch pot! It didn’t look like there was much hope for it but I do like a plant challenge!
I potted it on a bit and kept it in my kitchen on the north facing window sill. The kitchen has the Aga, and I think it’s a real secret to success with orchids, as the temperature and humidity stays fairly constant all year.
So here it is now - and vey pretty too! It’s barely an inch across but when all the buds are open it should be great.
I showed Katie at Christmas and offered her it to take home, but she thought it stood a better chance here!
