Flooded fields

Its been a beautiful sunny and calm day.  We decided to go out for a walk after an early lunch and headed towards the River Otter.  We weren't able to start by walking over White Bridge as the road leading up to this was flooded so we walked along another recently resurfaced path where the fields are currently flooded with this view looking towards the River Otter with the hills the otherwise of the river.  The flooding is all part of the River Otter restoration project which isn't yet finished. Once complete the area should I believe drain and fill with the tide.  Either way it gave some nice photographic opportunities today.  We walked along the path eventually reaching the river where we crossed over the bridge and continued inland heading towards the sea.  At one point we stopped to look at a few birds around a couple of trees and saw a couple of Cirl Buntings and a warbler of some kind.  Later on as we walking back along the coast path we saw several Skylarks foraging among the grass.  An enjoyable walk which a large number of people were also enjoying on the popular parts of the route.
