Grasmere

Weather set fair so an early start for a drive into the lakes.  Didn't get out as early as planned (it is so dark!) but we were there by 9 am.  Couldn't park in our usual snicket by the side of the road but managed to park easily in the village.

A circuit of the lake and then tea and cake at Mathilde's.  

Wonderful.
