"Come on, get aff!"

For those of you not from Scotland, the title of this blip will surely be confusing!

What you are looking at is an old bus conductors' machine used on public buses all around Scotland and beyond. In Glasgow the conductor was known as the "clippie" and used to shout and run the bus with a rod of iron - hence the title of this blip. From memory, these conductors were invariably big Glasgow women who put the fear of God into everyone riding the bus!

The machine was worn hanging down below the waist and the clippie turned the dials to get the fare, turned the handle and the ticket popped out the little slot on the front.

This one is for eBay I reckon.
