Delfts pottery

Made in the atelier of Adriaan Kock around 1690.
we had our cheese plate on it last night and I decided to rinse it by hand myself…

I inherited it from an old aunt in 1992, together with a vase. When I had to bring
my stuff over to America after my parents house was sold, I bought an extra suitcase for it and brought it as a carry on in the airplane.
Before leaving, I drove about 500 km to brino the vase to another aunt who I thought would be happy about it. Unfortunately this aunt is not only very slow but obviously also very clumsy. She put the big package on a chair, we said our goodbyes, she turned around and sat down on that chair. Crushing a piece 400 years old and just transported to her.
