Happy New Year

Detail of a beautiful new wall hanging by my Mum. It's not her pattern but all her own, very neat, handiwork. A very apt hope for the new year, although I know it's supposed to be about Christmas. The whole thing is shown in the extra.

D, H and I stayed up to see in the new year arrive, watching the fireworks in Edinburgh on tv. Well, we actually woke H up to watch, and then tucked her back in straight after!

More delicious food today, from pancakes for breakfast to Persian chicken for dinner. We have been spoiled. It's nearly time to knuckle down and get back to normal!
