Stop 4 of the tour saw a long journey from Rutland to Glastonbury, where we got caught up in traffic jams. So we broke open the Navy ration box . The chilli peanuts could not be recommended or finished - things were not that bad !
Met up with Shan and Theo and other friends at The Railway Inn after they’d all watched a wonderful Murmuration on the Levels - we sadly sat in traffic picking out stale peanuts from our teeth !
Great meal at Shans with every one helping out with cooking and then squeezed round her table for fine food and company . She is quite the most magical person I know and somehow replenishes something vitally important within me. What a lucky soul I am to have such a friend. I offer what I can in return but it never feels quite balanced to me , she would say otherwise but she would wouldn’t she ?
