Annual Event

A bit of a disturbed night last night thanks to the number of fireworks that were going off even though it was raining. Bailey was not a fan but did eventually settle. We weren't up particularly early but there was actually some blue sky today - and showers as well but we managed to avoid a heavy one when we headed to Williamson Park this afternoon to take my annual shot of the Ashton Memorial - 10 years since the first one seems like quite an achievement. The light was kind for as long as it took me to get a blip but the grey and the showers returned as Bailey and I walked back to the car. We're heading back east tomorrow so I have been sorting things this evening before watching Call the Midwife and Happy Valley. Hooked in already on the latter.
