Team Work

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

We stayed up until 2am last night. Jefe and Manda left at 1 (Jefe has a bad back and he didn't want to stay over). Mo stayed at ours but left pretty early.

Caro didn't emerge until around noon. Even so, she was tired and so I did my best to take care of her, making her breakfast.

All the same, she looked at our Xmas tree and slumped. "This is going to have to come down today," she sighed at the thought of the effort this would entail.

So I decided to be a nice husband and do the taking down while she watched "Sleepless in Seattle"*.

She was delighted.

But also anxious.

I could tell.

"Is this okay?" I asked. Wondering how I could screw up taking down a tree.

"Maybe you could just take things OFF the tree and then arrange them in piles!" she suggested helpfully.

"I'm not being bossy," she added.

So that is what we did. I took everything off the tree and put things in piles for Caro to arrange as dictated by her OCD.

"What a great team we make!" Caro said happily, as she organised baubles according to colour.

She right. We do. We understand each other enough of the time to make things work.
