Dominic's Kingfisher

Today's the day ...................... to lend

Just before Tim, Melanie and Grandson Dominic set off back home, having spent time with us here over Christmas, Dominic lent me his kingfisher to look after for a while.

You have to understand that this was no small thing to do because, as readers of this journal will know, Dominic has been passionate about wildlife - and birds in particular - from a very young age.  This kingfisher is one of his most prized possessions and actually is a very lifelike little thing.

So this blip, on the first day of the New Year, is for Dominic.  Just to say that I am more than a little chuffed to be looking after his kingfisher for a while.  And here he is, enjoying a bit of a chat with another kingfisher on one of the Christmas cards we had ....................!
