The Pudsey’s Party

Just back from our New Year’s Day Party with the Pudsey Ramblers.
Many thanks once more to Chris who at 86 is still holding this event every year, as well as our Summer BBQ. A perfect hostess as always. She just takes it all in her stride. Learnt today that she has been a member of the club for 66 years. So that now makes her our oldest active member.
Still does the occasional walk, along with her dog Holly, only now she does a shorter version.
It was lovely to see our dear friend Susan who came in her wheelchair assisted by her daughter.
She is one of the most courageous people I know. We haven’t seen her for a few months. Not since her cancer returned, and it was a shock to see how her appearance had changed.
She has raised thousands of pounds for breast cancer, and even did the Leeds 5K earlier this year. Where she got the strength from I don’t know. An amazing lady.

So 2023 is now here.
