Flower hunting

We took a short walk in the countryside that borders Leuchars before we headed for the train [on Sunday].

It's a lovely part of the world, but there's so little growing just now. No hedgerows were flowering, and apart from a small patch of forget-me-not and some largely unflowering wild garlic, the dandelions and buttercups were the most obvious splashes of colour.

So not surprisingly, the buttercups were covered in hoverflies, like this wee one.
