Duncan the Dinosaur!

This is what we were greeted with when we arrived at the house of family where we were celebrating Hogmanay. He is apparently called Duncan!

That was in the evening, but in the morning my mum and I walked up to the cemetery to put flowers on my dad's grave. The cemetery is on a hill and while we were there we saw a massive plume of smoke coming from somewhere near the Main Street. Looking on social media later it turns out there was a very serious fire in a derilict building behind the Main Street. Thankfully not an occupied building, but clearly a very major fire.

Afternoon was a foray to the very busy supermarket to get a few things we needed, then heading out to Lennoxtown for the Hogmanay party and Duncan the Dinosaur! It was a good evening with food, chat and games. Nice to see people. We left straight after the bells and, just like that, it is now 2023!
