Stairs

This is an entrance to some old style flats I found on a wander round an area I used to live in. These builds are usually two storeys high with eight or ten apartments on each floor. The flats are often just single rooms with a gas stove and a sink in one corner and facilities, if they have them, are shared. If there's no bath you have to walk to the nearest public bathhouse everyday, which once upon a time were everywhere in Tokyo.
