New Year’s Eve

We’ll be spending a quiet New Year’s Eve at home, which is not unusual for us. I made a nondairy dip this morning that’s been chilling in the refrigerator. Soon it will make its grand entrance surrounded by flatbread crackers, celery and bagel crisps. I’ll be sure to mix a couple of drinks beforehand • Music, a board game or two, plus a movie are the planned festivities. A friend gifted red and green sparklers to us but with rain forecasted we may have to try them out another night • The kitties have been napping all day long, and rest assured we’ll be joining them before the clock strikes midnight, LoL! • I’m not one for making New Year’s resolutions but I get why people do. For me, I want to be my best self every day of the year. I don’t always succeed, of course, but it’s what I strive for • Enjoy this last day of December, this final day of 2022, and let’s all look forward to a joyful, healthful and peaceful New Year • Most of all, let’s be hopeful, together!
