New Year's Eve at da Beach

A beautiful calm, sunny and warm day, about 26⁰c.  A breeze tonight, but nothing like the snow back home! 

Up early, and headed out in the car after breakfast.  Just over an hour, and we arrived at Puerto de la Cruz, and a day on the beach.  Lunch inba local café.  In the late afternoon, we met friends, Marie and Brian Leask, who are staying there.  Back down the road before dark.  Time for food, then meeting Ruby and Ralph again for New Year drams.  

A day that's been good for the soul, resting at the beach.  No  music blasting, just the sounds of waves crashing and the gentle noise of people chatting.  The beach was busy but not crowded.  I've been dipping into the sea quiet a few times, and the vitamin sea has been wonderful.  The sea was lovely to swim in.  I love the beach, but not the sand when trying to put on suncream!
