Mitchelgate by night

I went down to The Royal Barn to meet up with a friend, this evening, but it was completely packed, so we found a table next door in The Royal Hotel (no relation) instead.

We were meeting for a quick drink as she is going through a bit of a crisis, although it was quite interesting trying to be sympathetic towards someone whose approach to life it quite different to one's own.

It's not my place to share someone else's issues, but let's just say that she is keen to operate within her abilities, whereas I initially spent thirteen years in IT, and then the last sixteen years running a business, where I was necessarily constantly boxing above my weight. 

Anyway, I hope I was of some use, if only as a friendly ear.

And after that I went to meet Dan for a curry in Spice Essence, which was a lot easier and we had a great time before Abi, who'd had dinner with her mum, offered to pick us up as it was raining. What a star!
