Comfort. And joy.

Delighted to see a classy Christmas pudding reduced from £12 to £3 today, so I had to buy it. I do like a nice pudding in the winter.
Delighted also  to be welcoming a new year at midnight, particularly since Mr. Beewatcher has embarked on an umpteen-hour André Rieu television marathon. Not at all my cup of tea, but he seems to be enjoying it immensely.
