Barry

Barry’s a neighbour of mine and a regular attendee at our Saturday afternoon Office where six or seven of us share a few drinks, invest on the horses and discuss world and domestic affairs. We come from differing ancestral and social backgrounds and hold a healthy range of opinions on politics and current affairs leading to a spirited but always respectful exchange of views.
Barry is an interesting and active participant in all of the above. He works in a textile factory in Penrith, in fact he’s an expert on the subject. Like all of us at the Office, he forms his own opinions not singing from a party political song book or dictated to by media commentators.
After the last race, I think we all feel better informed but in some cases financially poorer for the experience.
