Stillness Of the Night

Thoughts lengthen and can lose their meaning.
You can be next door to someone but a thousand miles apart.
Time stretches, minutes follow hours but hours last for days.
If it’s a peaceful night then you are truly blessed. A night of suffering is not one to forget.
Nights can have a theme depending if you know what tomorrow brings. Tinged with excitement or slashed through with dread. Night time is fraught with mystery.
Aliens may be flying over your house as you plump up your pillows.
Foxes no doubt cast their shadow as they stroll by your window.
Night time is good for thinking and for writing. A true writer will open their mind completely while the clock strikes 2 am.
The world that man constructs is mainly planned in the day time. It shows in its lust for money and power. If it was set out in the small hours there would be room for wonder and fantasy.
What good a billion dollar Empire if you have no imagination?
Chasing a fortune in the sunlight is no match for endless travels in the forever hours of night.
Keep your dominion and your control. You can never truly contain a dreamer who doesn’t sleep. For when the sun rises he holds on to the long night and it’s true meaning.
