El Alto and Cholita wresting!

We ventured to the infamous el alto Sunday market - infamous for its huge sprawling size and amount of pick pocketing! Luckily we went with bum bags in force and nobody lost anything, not that we took any cameras to lose! The market was huge, going for miles and miles on every street, selling everything from cars to puppies (for only £3!!) to wool to food to kitchens to doors to hammers and TVs and blenders and flowers... Whatever you could ever need!

We then went along to the cholita wresting, and must do gringo experience for la Paz. It was so weird! A mix between wwf (the staged awful American wrestling) and a circus, with cholita ladies in their skirts slamming other wrestlers in costume and masks to the ground. The wrestling even came into the crowds with one cholita being thrown over the barrier onto my friends knees, just next to me! Owch! Definitely an interesting experience, but not one ill repeat in a hurry!!
