War Memorial Truro

The War Memorial was like so many in every town and village in the UK set up after the First World War and contains scores of names.

This Memorial like the others also records the deaths in the Second World War, but also has memorials added for the Falklands and Afghanistan.

The Afghan memorial is to Staff Sergeant Olaf Schmid GC of the Royal Logistics Corps who was killed whilst defusing an IED in Helmand Afghanistan.
